The effective service life of the color-coated galvanized sheet refers to the time before the coating film is severely hardened and differentiated, that is, it will not crack or fall off within the specified time limit. Therefore, the color-coated galvanized sheets produced by different types of coatings have different service lives. Under the same application conditions, the service life of various coatings can generally reach more than 30 years. Because the color-coated galvanized sheet is used outdoors, it is eroded by pollution and changes in weather conditions. When the organic coating film is exposed to sunlight for a long time, it will cause hardening and chalking, and it will bulge and loosen due to moisture, and eventually lose the coating film. When the protective effect is applied, paint protection treatment is required.
Therefore, we generally believe that the service life of the coating film of color-coated galvanized sheet is about 20 years in some heavily polluted climate environments, and about 30 to 40 years in rural areas.
