Hello, welcome to Jiangyin Himei Metal New Material Co., Ltd. website!

Difference between hot-rolled steel plate and cold-rolled steel plate

1. Hot rolled steel is rolled by high temperature heating. Its strength is not very high, but it can also meet our needs;

2. Cold-rolled steel is the steel of ordinary hot-rolled steel that has passed the strain-hardening stage after strong drawing. Its strength is very high, relatively hard and brittle! Compared with hot-rolled steel plate, cold-rolled steel plate is more accurate in thickness, smooth and beautiful in surface, and has various superior mechanical properties, especially in processing performance.

3. Hot-rolled steel has low strength, good elongation and poor appearance color; Cold rolled steel has high strength, high hardness and bright surface. In addition to the size factor, it can also be distinguished from the surface color and quality. Hot rolled steel is the one with obvious oxidation color, and cold rolled steel is the one with smooth and bright surface. It can also be simply distinguished by using hard objects to depict the surface. Compared with hot rolled steel, it is easy to scratch, and cold rolled steel is not easy to scratch (with higher hardness)

4. The difference between cold rolled steel and hot rolled steel is not in the smelting process, but in the rolling temperature, or the rolling end temperature. The cold-rolled steel is the one whose final rolling temperature is lower than the recrystallization temperature of the steel. Hot rolled steel plate is easy to oxidize under hot rolling conditions, and the product surface is dark and gray. Cold rolled steel requires high mill power and low rolling efficiency, and intermediate annealing is required to eliminate work hardening during the rolling process, so the cost is also high. However, cold rolled steel has bright surface and good quality, and can be directly used to process finished products, which means that cold rolled steel plate is widely used.

5. The coated steel plate produced by Jiangyin Himei is made of cold-rolled steel as the base plate. The coated steel plate produced in various colors is more durable and has the advantages of fire prevention, weather resistance and moisture resistance,

6. At present, the coated steel plate has been widely used in corporate buildings, airports, hospitals, hotels, banks, clubs, shopping malls and other public places because of its excellent comprehensive performance. It can maintain a complete appearance after long-term use.
