Laminated steel sheeting is made by applying a specially treated PVC film to a metal sheet coated with glue at high temperatures. Its properties include resistance to fire and water leakage. VCM (Various Color Coated Metal Sheets) are available in glossy and matte finishes. The PVC film applied to the surface creates a rich variety of patterns and colors, offering decorative effects such as wood grain, brushed stainless steel (a popular color scheme for home appliance panels), and pearlescent effects. It also boasts a high gloss, resistance to wear and corrosion, easy cleaning, and excellent workability.
Laminated steel sheeting is a patterned wallpaper-like material. High temperatures are used to firmly adhere the film to the stainless steel sheet, making it difficult to remove, thus creating a decorative effect. The wide variety of available films is inexpensive and has made them an integral part of stainless steel decoration projects.
