Hello, welcome to Jiangyin Himei Metal New Material Co., Ltd. website!

What is the difference between VCM film faced board and PVC film faced board?

The main differences between VCM and PVC laminated boards are as follows:

  1. Appearance:

The textures and colors of VCM and PVC laminated boards are different and can be distinguished by the naked eye.

  1. Definition:

PVC laminated boards consist of a specially treated PVC film applied to a metal plate at high temperatures.

VCM is a metallic colored laminated steel sheet with a steel base and a roll-coated vinyl chloride coating. This is achieved by laminating the printed film onto the steel surface through adhesive bonding.

  1. Characteristics:

PVC has unique properties: fireproofing, waterproofing, fire resistance, and weather resistance. Its surface can be formed into a variety of patterns and designs, including wood grain, stone grain, brick and tile grain, velvet grain, leather grain, camouflage grain, ice grain, sheepskin grain, orange peel grain, and refrigerator grain, achieving both aesthetically pleasing patterns and corrosion resistance.

VCM typically uses a galvanized base with a colored or patterned film applied. The surface of this type of board is very smooth and flat, and the color effects are unattainable with PCM.

  1. Applications

Use: PVC products are high-quality thermoforming materials, capable of replacing some stainless steel and other corrosion-resistant synthetic materials.

VCM is commonly used in refrigerator panels, side panels of high-end wine cabinets, set-top box housings, and other applications. These applications place high demands on the membrane.
